Project: Online Event Management System (OEMS)

Company Introduction

KPMG is a leading provider of assurance, tax and legal, consulting and financial advisory services. With a global approach to service delivery, KPMG responds to clients' complex business challenges with seamless service across industry sectors and national boundaries

Problem Statement

KPMG's marketing function spans over many geographically distributed offices throughout the UK. Each marketing team organises regional corporate hospitality events and seminars for attendance by KPMG staff and clientele The use of traditional paper based bulletins has proven to be an inefficient method of disseminating news of future events

Problem Solution

Mosaic has developed the Online Event Management System (OEMS), a company-wide web application, to meet the specific business requirements of KPMG's marketing function OEMS assists KPMG's geographically distributed Marketing departments, to share information on regionally organised Public Relations events and corporate seminars. Regional event organisers maintain the event details through a comprehensive web enabled administration module. KPMG Staff and supervisors search for events of interest through a simple form based query or keyword match facility The solution is implemented using Microsoft's web application architecture utilising SQL Server, NT Server, Internet Information Server (IIS), Visual Basic, VBScript, Active Server Pages (ASP) and HTML
